Liberty County, Texas - Wesley Hinch - County Attorney

I wanted to bring your attention to a candidate running for County Attorney in Liberty County.

My wife, Whitney, and I met Wes on primary night here in Texas. As we were rounding up some Huckabee signs after the polls closed, we hudled around the returns board in the town square to check out some local numbers. Recognizing us as Huckabee supporters, Wesley approached us and introduced himself.

A fact about local candidates in Liberty County--only Democrats run and only Democrats win. Oddly enough, we're not a Democratic/Liberal county. In fact Huckabee won in our County, and in November, we'll vote overwelmingly for John McCain, but for some strange reason (I guess tradition), candidates in Liberty County run on the Democratic ticket (even if they vote Republican) and usually there is no Republican challenger come November.

But Wesley N. Hinch is different. He struck my wife and I as a man of conviction, which is why he told us he voted for Huckabee. The race for County Attorney in Liberty County isn't going to be dirty. Wes told us he is good friends with his opponent, Tommy Chambers, and we hear great things about Tommy as well. But the bottom line is, one candidate is openly declaring his values by running on the ticket that poses the biggest threat to his political success, and he's doing it because he believes in conservative Republican values.

So Whitney and I will be supporting Wes in November, and we invite you to join is in prayer that God will raise up and bless this man by granting him success in our county.
