My List of Recommended Netflix Movies/Documentaries

Postby Gambit on Wed Apr 09, 2008 12:20 pm

Here's my small, but growing list of movies and documentaries I think people should watch. These are available for "instant viewing," if you subscribe to Netflix. I will continue to update this thread as I watch more movies/documentaries on Netflix.

By the way, Netflix is an amazing service. They're very fast and efficient with their shipments. Highly recommended if anyone likes to watch movies...

Unborn in the USA: Inside the War on Abortion (2007)

Declining by Degrees: Higher Education at Risk (2005)

The Future of Food (2004)

In the Face of Evil: Reagan's War in Word and Deed (2004)

I think I've seen that Reagan documentary. AMAZING. I highly recommend it as well.

Another good recent documentary is Lord Save Us From Your Followers (http://www.lordsaveusthemovie.org/). I caught the last half of it last night--they were showing it to the Ecola Bible School students, and then they had discussion afterward. It's coming out next month on DVD, I do believe.

I just rented it at Blockbuster. Haven't watched it yet, though. How was it?

Pretty good.

It doesn't explain what ID or Creationism is. The documentary tries to explain that our freedoms are under attack and it tries to link Darwinism to Nazism. This film is very eye-opening. I guess that's why so many "lefties," anti-religion people, and ignorant people hate this movie so much.

Well, since I recently had an old friend remove me from his Facebook because of my "frightening" social views, I'm looking forward to seeing it. That "friend" is an esteemed professor or Gay and Lesbian Culture at a state university in Iowa. Sometimes I think I went to bed in America and woke up in some futuristic sci fi film. I'm in the market for a cozy cave after the election of our first Socialist president (who isn't socialist enough for said friend, btw). Know where I can find one?

I'm thinking a cabin in the remote wooded area of northern MN would be a good hiding place. I am looking forward to the election to get those Obamanites out of my face as much as anything else. *sigh* It isn't supposed to be this way.
dei is a Biblical Greek word which means "it is necessary".
